Program Coordinator for the Racial Equity Grantmaking Program (REGP)
Kyumon Murrell serves as the Program Coordinator for the Racial Equity Grantmaking Program (REGP) at ABFE: A Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities. As Coordinator, he is primarily responsible for: providing administrative and logistical support, communicating with potential clients, analyzing data to highlight the impact of the REGP client workshops, and creating content related to RPBC presentations.
Prior to joining ABFE, Kyumon worked with the New York State Health Foundation as a part of the Building Healthy Communities programmatic area. At NYSHealth, he used mapping software conduct an impact analysis on NYSHealth’s grants and subsequent outcomes. He also worked with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) to support its Open School Initiative, and helped in leading the Boston Public Health Commission’s Youth Advisory Board with its public health youth projects.
Kyumon Murrell was born and raised in New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Northeastern University. He prides himself in taking an interdisciplinary approach to health and seeks to be a thought leader in alleviating the effects of health inequities. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, cooking, and reading.
